Kendra Smith, MSW Supervisee in Social Work
Hi, I'm Kendra!
I believe that by working together, clients and families are able to overcome obstacles and have a better quality of life. In order to do that, people and families often need someone to assist them with coping skills, communication skills, understanding boundaries, and exploring how the past has influenced the current state of events. I believe that using tools such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused work, and trauma-informed interventions can allow people the opportunity to grow into the person they desire.
I strive to meet each client where they are and hope to empower each person I meet to overcome trauma, depression, anxiety, mood, as well as time management, conflict resolution, and setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries. As I meet with each client, we will form a treatment plan that specifically outlines our goals and method of treatment. I have worked within community mental health, family services, and child advocacy. I am open to working with children as young as 7 through adulthood. I truly look forward to working with you. I am currently offering both in person and telehealth options. |
