Welcome to our practice!​

This is a friendly reminder that all intake paperwork must be completed in full prior to our first appointment. This gives our staff a chance to review everything and prepare for your visit. If you have any questions or difficulties with completing the paperwork, please let your clinician know.
The office location is 3545 North Chain Bridge Road Fairfax, VA 22030. We are located in both Suites 201 and 209 which are directly across from one another.  We are on the second floor and there is not an elevator. There are about 16 stairs you will have to go up to get to the office. There is a sign that says Harper Therapy Group on both suites so it should be easy to find. Please feel free to reach out if you have any difficulty finding the location. Sometimes the GPS directs people to go across the street into a neighborhood, so we have attached a photo of the building for your reference.

Ongoing Communication/Portal:  We utilize Simple Practice as our electronic health record which provides us the security of a HIPAA compliant platform.  We ask that most of our communication run through this platform through secure messaging. 

Main office phone: If you call the office line, we may not get that message as promptly.  If you are calling to cancel or change appointments, please use the Simple Practice portal for HIPAA secure messaging or reach out to me via my business cell or email.

Monthly Newsletters:  Our practice does send out a monthly newsletter to inform you about updates regarding insurance, book recommendations, groups. Resources, and more!  Please take time to read them as something may peak your interest or someone you know.  

Emergency:  Should you or your family member find yourself in an emergency or crisis, please go to your nearest emergency room, call 911, or non-emergency police for your local area.   We welcome your call as well and are happy to help navigate and assist you through the process as we are able.  

After Hours:  Should you need to reach us after hours, you are always welcome to do so, however your assigned clinician may not always be as readily available.  You are also welcome to reach out to the owner and Clinical Director, Heather Harper after hours and she can also be of assistance.  Her business cell is 571-278-2320. 

Weather/Illness:  In our winter months, we may experience a need to close the office due to inclement weather.  Should this happen, you will get an update via email and a message from your clinician.  In most cases, we will be able to make the move from in person to virtual without any issue.   If you or your clinician are not feeling well, present with symptoms, or have been exposed to someone who is contagious, we ask that you change your appointment to virtual and your clinician will do the same!  We want to do everything we can to provide a safe and healthy office for you to visit.
