Daniel Pereira, MSW Supervisee in Social Work
Hi, I'm Daniel!
I believe that we each have unique strengths which help us overcome challenges that present in our everyday lives. Through therapy, clients can identify and develop those strengths and use them more effectively. When working together, I will support you in building coping skills, executive function, or interpersonal skills, and provide new ways to process difficult life events, or reduce anxiety and depression. Lasting change can occur when you leverage your passions, insights, and life experiences. Being a former English teacher for seventeen years I was personally shaped by communication, connection, and the empowerment of curiosity and creativity. It is my desire to bring those same attributes from the classroom to the therapy room as well.
Approaches clients can expect to see in my work would be insight-oriented approaches, mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral strategies. I enjoy bringing clients different experiences and modalities that will match your needs and offer a way to understand how your mind thinks, how the body reacts, and how you are able to settle yourself overall to make even better decisions and get new perspectives on the challenges you face. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and college bound aged adults as they may experience challenges with relationships, executive functioning, conflict management, life transitions, autism spectrum disorder, depression, and anxiety. Please feel free to reach out for a consultation via phone. I am currently offering both in person and telehealth options. |
