Miriam Kuttikat, MSW, MA Supervisee in Social Work
Hi, I'm Miriam!
With a commitment to compassionate, respectful, and individualized care, I support clients through life’s transitions with a focus on dignity, balance, and personal growth. Each treatment plan is tailored to the client’s unique needs, honoring their lived experiences while providing therapeutic guidance grounded in clinical expertise.
My professional experience spans India, Canada, and the United States, supported by an MSW, MA, and PhD in Social Work and Women’s Studies. Currently pursuing LCSW licensure under clinical supervision, I have worked across diverse settings, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), migrant family health programs, family conflict and divorce counseling, child custody evaluations, geriatric care, and career counseling. This breadth of experience informs a holistic and culturally attuned approach, integrating both individual-level therapy and awareness of broader systemic, organizational, and societal influences on well-being. In clinical practice, I draw from a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Shame-Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Sessions are tailored to the client’s goals, fostering resilience, insight, and a strengthened sense of personal agency. By combining clinical rigor with an understanding of the macro-level factors that shape our lives, I aim to support clients in navigating both personal challenges and the broader contexts in which they live. I currently offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to provide flexible options that meet your needs.
